Baker Hughes reported that 613 drilling rigs were at work in the U.S. on April 26. That is down six from the previous week and down 142 from one year ago. Canada had 118 rigs, down nine from last week but up 25 from this time last year.

You can tell a lot about people by what's in their pockets. It’s not uncommon to hear someone express incredulity at the way livestock will panic and pile up on each other to the point of self-destruction. If the amazed one would only stop to think for a moment, he’d remember that humans regularly go as crazy as any bunch of stampeding sheep when they hear the cry “Fire!” in a crowded building.

I’m looking at several options for hay storage in an effort to free up more space in our 40’ X 40’ hay barn. This area is attached to our horse barn and my hope is by having hay storage elsewhere I will have most of this space available to use as a small indoor arena.
